Compassionate Care on the Move
Doctors- Dr Ann Lim and Dr Chathu Weerakkody met while working in private practice where they watched anxious pets hide under benches and owners struggling with hectic clinic schedules. In 2024, they decided to combine their specialties and turn their shared frustration into a revolution, and Mobile Animal Doctors was created. The founders- both experienced emergency and general practice vets had a defining moment when an elderly Irish wolfhound had to come in regularly for appointments. A at home service was offered and his remarkable recovery at home proved their vision
Meet Dr. Ann Lim
Dr Ann graduated from Murdoch university in 2016 and spent most of her time in emergency before transitioning to a mix of both GP and emergency work. Outside work, she enjoys going on hikes with the dogs. She also enjoys dancing and pole sports.
Meet Dr. Chathu Weerakkody
Dr Chathu graduated from the university of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 2017. She moved to Perth in 2020 where she worked as an emergency veterinary nurse while awaiting to acquire her registration to practice in Australia as a veterinarian. Outside work, she enjoys going to the beach with her Labrador named Friday, and hanging out at home with her cats while watching movies.
